Product Overview

Joe Baggs Long Cast Resin Jigs | Saltwater Distance

The Hook

Tired of watching fish feed just out of casting range? When standard metal and epoxy lures fall short, the Joe Baggs Long Cast Resin Jig delivers unmatched casting distance, deadly action, and the durability to handle brutal saltwater conditions.

Built to reach distant blitzes and stay in the strike zone longer — this is the jig you tie on when you need to get tight.

? Key Benefits

Key Benefits

    •    Aerodynamic Resin Body: Engineered with a dense, scent-free resin that outperforms traditional epoxy, allowing you to launch farther into the wind and reach distant breaking fish.

    •    Targeted Baitfish Profile: The slim, realistic silhouette perfectly mimics sand eels and rain bait, triggering aggressive strikes from Striped Bass, Albies, and Tuna when they are keyed in on small forage.

    •    Rugged "Fishability": Built to withstand toothy pelagics, ensuring your terminal tackle stays in the game cast after cast.

    •    Stable High-Speed Action: Whether you’re employing a "burn-and-turn" retrieve for Bonito or a slow roll for Stripers, the internal weighting keeps your presentation true and skip-free.

  • Maximum Casting Distance – Streamlined, perfectly balanced resin body cuts through wind for superior Surfcasting and long-range boat presentations.

  • Tracks True in Heavy Current – Stable swimming action from slow roll to burn-and-turn keeps your presentation dialed during Jigging or open-water retrieves.

  • Ultra-Durable Resin Construction – Stronger than epoxy with no chemical odor; built to withstand Big Game abuse without cracking or softening.

  • Realistic Baitfish Profile – Mimics sand eels, peanuts, anchovies, and rain bait when predators get selective.

  • Proven Hookup Ratio – Outfitted with premium BKK inline or tuna-grade assist hooks for reliable terminal tackle performance.

Joe Baggs just makes a superior product... They cast further, have better action, nicer finish, come rigged how I want them, and they catch more fish (yes, albies). Done with buying the competition…

    1 Jig for Multiple Species

Posted by Drew from Long Island on Oct 15th 2021

Absolutely my go to jig for almost anything now . Used it last night for the 1st time and caught sea bass and porgys jigging on the bottom and then gator blues and 30+ Inch striped bass when I snap jigged it. Perfect weight for slow or strong current. Completely impressed how well it swims and catches fish.

    Cast a mile!

These cast a mile, and last longer than the brand everyone knows. I’ve been using them for a while, and can’t say enough great things about them

    1 oz resin jig chrome

Posted by Bill OConnor on Apr 23rd 2021

Ive used several other Joe Baggs resin jigs with great success. This is my first chrome menhaden. Finish is great. Mimics FW smelt very well. The 1 oz really punches through the wind. I thin this will become my favorite for spring schoolies also.

    Excellent jig

Posted by Michael k on Dec 17th 2019

First time I used this jig was during the MV Derby and I caught 4 bass in first day at 2 different locations. It hooks well and it traveled through the water nicely. I use this jig in southern RI and have also had pretty good results in comparison to other lures. In comparison to all my lures I rate this at 4.5 overall. FYI- I'm a amateur angler.

    Resin jig

Prefer action of this lure. Casts great, even into the wind. I decided to replace original hooks with #1 trebles. My go to jig.
